Ok I'm puttin this out here for real. I need to sell this bike. Pics are under this forum under: 1980 Special Original & unrestored

650rider.com/index.php...pic&t=6617

She's got 9550 original babied, garage kept, miles and has never been down. I am the 2nd owner.
She runs and rides like new and thats no BS.
There are 5 things not original on this bike.
1)Pinstripes from the 80's, probably put there in 80 when the bike was brand new.
2)Right side mirror is not original. When my shop got robbed they stole the mirror. Go figure.
3)Handlebars. I can't ride that schwinn style bar. They are in the shop and I will swap them or you can have both.
4)Rotor cover is off another 650 I have since the original got stole too. Its got some dingage from bein down, but not on this bike. I polished it a little and you cant tell from 5 feet. I also spaced the cover out for some airflow to the rotor.
5)Chrome crash bar. It comes right off.
Seat is great. Paint is great. Chrome is great. Shocks are still great. Starts on the first hit or kick.
Tires are 85%, Chain is 85%, whole bike is a 90-95% piece. Brakes are good, switches are good. You see a pattern yet?
Rotor replaced with new(yes BRAND NEW), rectifiier/Regulator is brand new and str8 plug in not spliced. New ignition switch. New battery as of 3-9-09. I added 2 extra grounds to the system. She has no issues whatsoever. She does not blow fuses or act stupid in any way. In short a perfect runner. You can ride anywhere on this machine, no problems.
THe issue is I dont keep original anything. Its not my style and Id rather sell it to someone who will keep it the way it is. If I keep it it its gettin bobbed or cafe'd and probably soon, so HELP! Take this off my hands before I light that plasma cutter!
SHe's a great bike guys for real and I have never seen one this this original and clean at the same time. I am taking offers right now and if you got a choppable project to throw in the deal, then all the better.
Hit me up.

One more thing on this bike, the badges aren't great. They're there but you know how they wear so she could use some new ones. Full disclosure and all that.

I am situated in the Louisville KY area, but Southern Indiana is where my shop is. You can find me in Louisville most days. I do likes to travel given the time so if you're anywhere close I'm not opposed to meeting up for a ride. Forward Air capability out of Louisville International is pretty easy for me too.

I'm new to this 650Rider forum, and couldn't locate any additional info about your bike for sale (if it's still available). I purchased a 1979 650 Special brand new years ago, and looking to own one again. If you could steer me in the right direction for photos, etc.... I would be most grateful.

Thx
