Hello everyone,
Just bought a XS650G a few days ago from junk yard, would like to give it a little maintenance, I know there is a oil filter as I flipped service manual, but I found no sign of oil filter on the engine, is anybody know where it is?

I try to adjust cam chain, service manual stated:Turn the adjust bolt in until the push rod (inside the adjust bolt) is flush with the end of the adjust bolt.
What this mean...??, the adjust bolt seems no end, screw it in, the rod came out to a limit then hold there(even I continue screw adjust bolt further), I am worry that could be worn chain stopper badly, what is the suitable strength on the adjust bolt? is there anyone help me, thanks in advance.

2 filters. One is inside the right side clutch cover, under the small circle cover attached by 2 bolts, to the right of the Yamaha. The other is accessed by removeing the front cover with the drain plug on the bottom of the motor. I thought my manual has picturs, diagrams showing these as well as the cam chain adjuster?

Thanks friend, I got the one in the right side cover, it's made of steel wire, looks no need of change, just clean it up.
The other one which you refered, may be made of paper filter, I'll try to replace that one some other day, this bike is so unique, I like the way its' vibration, but quite noisy, after adjust valve clearance seems no change, noisy comes from cylinder head, it's hard to distinguish whether valve noisy or chain rattle, while engine off, even slowly crank the engine by hand, I heard something like spring bouncing ??in the cylinder head, I will try to find it out. any advices are welcomed.
Thanks everyone.

Maybe a broken valve spring? I have some spares if that is the problem. You can pull the tappet covers and spark plugs and the engine will turn over pretty easily. Pull the 'Yamaha; cover on the left side and you can put a wrench on the alternator rotor bolt to turn the engine. Keep in mind the motor spins anticlockwise. Put your ear up close and listen while someone rotates the engine.
