My bike was wired up and everything running perfect. Then I was trying to set the points for the best spark... In doing so, and turning the ignition, I was checking the points with a screwdriver. I saw a nice spark, the engine fired, and then the whole bike shut down. No lights, no starting, nothing... No fuses are blown and I have no power whatsoever. Battery is fully charged. Could I have blown the rectifier? Regulater? ground??

Took EVERYTHING apart. Replaced regulator, rectifier...etc... Then finally found out the problem!! The $50 BRAND NEW ignition switch I had bought. The same switch used in high end choppers (3 stage switch like a car ignition). Somehow it had burned out. It has been wired up perfectly so, I believe that would be faulty. I am going to try to return it. 6 days and counting to get this chopper running before the show Daytona.... arg!!
