I know Im new here and I have searched all over. Does anybody know if a 81 yz125 wheel will work on the front of a 78 xs650? I can machine the spacers and whatnot, but is axle size the same ?

OK here is a better question. I am running no front brake. Anybody know of a 21 inch wheel with the same axle size that will work on a 78 xs650?

Hi
I have a set of spokes coming from Mikes right now....did you check his site for spokes? I think he may have 21"?
Are you legal with no front brake? (Does it matter....?)

So I just checked and Mikes doesn't have 21" spokes. However, Buchanan's does.
Buchananspokes.net
They have pretty much everything; a friend of mine got spokes for an early 1950's BSA 250!!

Yea its kinda why I was trying to just find a wheel that works. I can buy the whole wheel for 30-40 bucks on ebay or pay $90 for the hoop then another $90 for the spokes. Just nobody out there knows what will work on there......

Also no not against the law in oregon only one brake is needed. Not that it matters cause this bike will only be running a headlight and brake/tail light and thats about it with no front fender. No speedo or anthing so its already pretty ticket worthy lol. Also looking for a 16 mag for the back with a drum. IS there any other mags that will fit. Or does anybody got one. Thanks
Scotty

As for axle sizes change your bearings on any 21" wheel. spacers etc are on you. All you need is outside diametr of the bearings your taking out of the new wheel and the width of said bearing. Plus inside diametr of xs bearing. Give said measurements to a auto parts store and they will match you up with new bearings to fit your axle.
