Does anyone have any close up pictures of a xs 650 front brake drum "stay." I don't know if thats what it is called, but whatever holds the brake plate in place and keeps it from spinning. I have the actual hub, but not the bike that belongs with it. Any help is much apreciated!!!

I thought the hub slotted into the fork leg to remain in place. Found this pick of an older XS but not sure if it will help.

I saw the slot on my drum, thought that was what it was for. The only problem is that I've got '72 forks. I think I can come up with something though to make it work. Thanks for the picture!!

the late model sr500 uses a very similar drum which is held by a bracket that bolts to the disc caliper mounting points if you want to do this modification to later 35mm forks

Ive got one of those one of those SR500 brackets I use on one of mine, it enables you to fit the drumbrake hub/wheel straight to the post '77 fork .
On my other Ive welded a 'peg' to locate in the drum -hub slot.
ill post pics & the part number for the bracket.
If you cant wait then read my post on this in the 650Garage from last year it has a photo
