If you live in the midwest and are interested in a 1973 TX650, I found this on Craigslist. He's posted several times:

desmoines.craigslist.o...29911.html

at $600, it's probably a little pricey considering it needs carb work and is missing a front brake. On the plus side, it has electronic ignition and newer tires. He was asking $700 and had it listed as a 1971. I straightened him out on the year of the bike and it looks like he's also lowered his price just a bit. For the record, I DO NOT know this guy and have not seen the bike.

Yeah, he was asking $700 before. I talked with him on the phone a couple weeks ago and it sounds like he let it sit because it needs carb work. I figure a non-running bike is probably worth around $350, maybe even less because it has no front brake, no mufflers and it's missing the plug wires. He'd be better off trying to put it back together and then sell it for what he's asking. I like these early bikes though and I thought I'd try to get the word out figuring somebody might be interested.

Newelly - I lived in Fort Dodge for a spell. I almost came up a couple weeks ago because somebody was selling a nice looking CB750 on Craigslist. I didn't act on it and now I think it's gone. It's probably for the best considering I have three bikes in the garage already. Somethings gotta give before I bring another one home.
