im trying to polish the rims on my 77xs,and i removed all the old clearcoat...but there are still small sqigly black lines on the metal.ive tryed a 800 grit sand paper,but it seems deeper...is there anything that can remove it...maybee glass beed?

I think your looking at flow marks. It might be a weld seam. Are the marks radial or circumfluent? The process of bending the aluminum extrusions into wheels can also create stress marks. In any of these cases you won't be able to get rid of the marks.

its where the old clearcoat has peeled and lifted its like a tarnish butt it wont come out,its not an actual pit because you can scrape your fingernail across it but cant feel it.ill try to post a pic today.
