NG from Michigan

I recenty picked up a 1977 XS650 bought it from the second owner who purchased it from his cousin back in '83. The bike has only just over 6,000 original miles on it an runs and looks great. I plan on modifiying it a bit. Y'all seem to have all the info on this bike that anyone would ever need. Looks like a damn fine community you have going here.

Thanks guys,

If I do anything it will be a street tracker, I have a roller from a '75 and was thinking about using the engine from this bike in the tracker while I restore this bike. It looks great from 10 feet but could use a complete going through. When I get this bike back to original, I plan on sticking the motor back in and findng a replacement motor for the tracker. And yes, I will be hunting down a stock seat as part of the resto on this bike.

I like the blue version of my bike. I was actually thinking of getting a second set of tins for mine someday just to give it a different look.

That is not a bad idea, two bikes for the price of a set of tins. I paint bikes so your idea has me rubbing my chin and logging on to ebay.
