I reset the floats over the weekend (my dumba** forgot to do it when I rebuilt the carbs). Unfortunatlly I noticed that the left side is not firing at idle very well. It seems to fire somewhat (but not fully) when I raise the RPM's, but at idle I can take off the left side plug wire and it does not seem to effect anything. I'm going to go home and try switching the wires from side to side to see how that may effect the firing. I guess we'll see how that all works out. I'm also going to check the condensors and coil to see if they are in spec.

The question at hand is, can anyone think of something that I did not list to try? Everyone has been so incredibly helpful on this forum and I would probably not be riding at all if not for the help. Anywho, thanks for all the help ladies and gents.

sounds like you need to synchronize the idle adjustment on the left to allow more air and fuel past the throttle butterfly..........Jack

if you switch the plug wires you also have to switch the wires from the points or you will be 180 out of time

I wish I had read that before I switched the wires last night Jayel. Drove me nuts enough to have to walk away and try another day. At least I am learning when to walk away before the bike gets the better of me. I guess that's the price of having a vintage bike. Anyway I'm going to clean and regap the points tonight, as well as try to sink the carbs a little better too.

Thanks for all the advice guys!
