Diesel only will work. The washing soda is found in the laundry sections.

The Arm and Hammer laundry detergent powder is what you want for the elctrolysis. I used a little more then a cup to about 3.5 gallons of water. It can be found at Walmart as well.

CRC is a penetrating oil the pre-dates WD-40.

WD40 or CRC 556 wet start, penetrate. I didn't know what was available in the US.

I actually have some Kroil. In the old orange can.
Right now, I have a nice cocktail of MMO, Kroil and a shot of PB Blaster soaking in the cylinders. I need to get some diesel for the crankcase.

I've had good luck with "mystery oil" but they all sound like good ideas

WD40 is not a penetrating oil it is a Water Dispersant it has no lubrication or penetrating qualities, it's fish oil

WD40 is not a penetrating oil it is a Water Dispersant it has no lubrication or penetrating qualities, it's fish oil | it's a great solvent and is real good for removing road tar.

If it moves and it's not supposed to...duct tape.
If it doesn't move and is supposed to...WD40.
That's all you need.
But nothing screams poor workmanship like wrinkles in the duct tape.
