i recently decided to clean the rust out of a gas tank i had laying around. the hole inside was covered in moderate surface rust. after reading a lot of different ideas i was at walmart and seen a product called CLR ( calcium lime @ rust remover ) it was in the bathroom cleaner section . i poored it into the tank filled it with water and let it soak for somtime . when i dumped it out i was shocked the inside looked absoultly perfect. so i kept repeating this until i got preaty much every bit of rust out of it .... took just a few times. then blew as much water out of the tank possible and soaked the inside down with PB blaster. so it would drive out the remaining moisture and prohibit futher rusting. has anyone else done this or could do this to back up my results ? thanks

Sounds good to me, I'll try it.

I posted a question about electrolysis and one member recommended CLR.I don't own a battery charger and couldn't find one on craigslist so I bought the CLR (soaking right now).I haulded a bike for a friend and noticed his charger.I plan on doing the electrolysis when I'm done with the CLR.I also put a couple feet of dog chain in and shook it a while.
