I seem to remember something about this but a search only comes close without finding the actual procedure.

Do I need to pull the carbs?
Which side goes to the floor for easiest removal of engine from frame?

The bike is pretty much stripped down so there isn't much in the way now.
Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,
- JJ

yes remove the carbs less in the way and will need to come off sooner or later, which directions will the long mounting bolts need to come out? kind of hard to pull them if the floor is in the way

Pull the carbs and anything else that could be damaged in the process, drain the oil and lay it on the right (clutch) side.

Here is a thread that explains engine installation, just reverse the process.
