Hello Everybody

New to the forum and new to the XS650 as well, just picked up my first one a week ago! It's a garage kept '79 6-fiddy Special with 7700 miles on the clock and I scored it for $550, did all the normal tune-up stuff and it now runs puuurfect, still getting the jetting just right but it's coming along nicely and Im very happy with my purchase so far!

Im 32 and have been riding for 14 years, all sportbikes up until this. My first bike was a '92 GSXR1100 and it's been all downhill since then. I currently still own that 1100 although it now needs a tranny, I also ride a '00 Kawi ZX12R and an '08 Ducati 1098 that does street/trackday duty. In all honesty I've never owned a conventional motorcycle and as much as I obviously love sportbikes I needed something different so I picked the XS up with plans of hard-tailing it and having a fun little cruiser. If I like it when it's done I'll pull it apart this winter and make it pretty as I am a bodyshop manager by day so making things shiny is what I do Smile

Anyways, there's a bit about me and the things that make me happy, I look forwards to getting to know you guys and the wealth of knowledge you have in this forum and hope I can add to it in some way as well!

Welcome Abraxxas1127, You will certainly find the XS a lot different than your other bikes. Bit like driving a Volkswagen after driving a Ferrari.
Check out the vault, lots of info to help you on the road to the many questions that will arise.
