i just finished wiring my bike. i have power going into the coil but no spark coming out of the coil. what do i to?

did you paint your frame? check too make sure you have a good ground for the coil,also try another spark plug.just start with the basic's then trace down the electrical conections use Lithium di-electric grease on all of your conectins to ensure good contact,

A few more details would be useful. Are you using the stock TCI ignition? What is the battery voltage? When was the last time the engine ran?
83 has lots of interlocks. Are you still using the sidestand switch? In order for the TCI to generate a spark, bike must be in neutral, or sidestand up. If you want to by-pass this interlock, just unplug the sidestand relay.

Rg from the look of his avatar it's a chopper. His wiring is probably home made. JnyStyls if you are running a non stock wiring harness, can you post a wiring diagram? It may help pinpoint your problem.
