Showroom stock 75 xs with original exhaust and mufflers. The mufflers look hollow. I've tried a couple of homemade baffles. Last one was a washer mounted at the front of muffler. Liked the sound ,just slowed down the flow but without welding them in the vibration and pressure knocks them loose. Any ideas on putting baffles in? I don't know what stock baffles looked like.

The baffle on my YZF uses a drilled cone which wedges into the front of the aftermarket end can can where it joins the downpipes. Could maybe make something similar?
y XS exhausts are all aftermarket and don't have removable baffles (one does'nt have any baffles at all - you could send a rat down it!)

When I said hollow I mean you can see straight thru , not rent out the empty space for storage.

You might try getting a freeze plug the right size and driving it in from the engine side, about half way down. Thats about where the stock baffel plate was.
