Hey all.. Im having trouble finding replacement carb holders for my 70Chassis/ 76 motor mongrel. The carbs are standard 76 BS38 CV's. Here are the issues- carb holders for the 70s chassis dont fit the BS38 carbs, carb holders for the 76 motor fit the carbs but put them out at the wrong angle (downwards and slightly out).. meaning i cant fit my air boxes on.
so i need holders with 70mm from centre to centre of bolts.. big enough to fit the 76 carbs.. that will send the carbs out horizontal towards the airboxes instead of slightly downwards towards.
i have a picture that has one of the holders that came on the bike (left) and one bought from mikes xs (right) for the 76 motor, that doesnt suit my particular circumstances. i need to find out what the carb holder on the left is actually from!! how can i do this?? any clues or suggestions??
thanks a million

J.C. Whitney has pretty much universal carb boots. If we could get one to work on a Triumph then you could surely make a set work on an XS.

i didnt think of that.. but i guess it would just shoot the carbs upwards and towards eachother.. ill check it out tonight to see.
im willing to buy new carb holders (again) if im sure they will fit.. and if jc whitney will post to Aus.
then i just have my charging system to worry about.. but thats another story.
