hello my name is James and I have been lurking for a while now and have learned a tremenous amount of info. Ok so I have a 76 with stock carbs except jetting and modified the slide holes. anyhow to my own stupidity when I pulled the slides out I didn't pay attention to which was installed first the needle or the plastic ring. dumb huh... don't usually make the simply mistakes but can someone please verify which is on bottom. I'm sure its the needle since I have been dumbfounded for a week and just realized that I may have installed them backwards putting the needle on top. thanks for your help, James

Jayel, thank you very much. I'm sure this will fix my problems and put me back on the road. James
