I tore my engine down this weekend. I am trying to save some cash and not buy a new head gasket if I don't have to. I am going to clean the carbon off the head with some paint stripper. Anyway, here are my questions:

Does this head gasket look re-usable?
Should I bother cleaning the pistons also?

Its a fair amount of work to open up the engine, so I think its better to not take short cuts. Yes, clean up the pistons. I'd say to replace all gaskets. Engine re-torquing is very important when you re-assemble.
