OMG... My cousin swung by the house today on his brand new ZX14... Kawasaki Ninja 1400cc's of pure... WOW. He picked it up a few days ago, it's got about 150 miles on it today... he let me ride it... OMG OMG OMG... stupid, STUPID FAST... He's afraid of it, me... not so much, but yeah, me too... it'll definately give you butterflies... gotta be real careful on the throttle... First impression? I gotta get me one of these...

Second impression... take it back before I kill myself...

But... nice... real nice...

We went riding, about 35 miles... I said... 'hey, ride this one so you can see exactly how smooth yours is...' Wink sucker fell for it and I got a second ride Laughing ... when we got back he said 'I couldn't keep up! and btw... your brakes don't work too good...' Laughing I said nah... My brakes are fine... yours are just that good...

Oh yeah... the thing weighs in at almost 600 lbs... it feels like a bicycle when you are on it... damn it's balanced good...

Yeah, today was a good day...

The ZX14 is very nice, but I prefer the Suzuki Huyabusa! It's only 1100cc and will keep up with and probably pass the ZX14. The Huyabusa will run 200 straight out of the showroom!

All new bikes from the big 4 Asian manufacturers are electronically limited to a maximum speed of 186 mph...

The Huyabusa was the reason for that. The first 2 years weren't limited and they kicked A$$!

The local constabulary here nabbed a guy with a Huyabusa a while back. They clocked him at 176.

Sorry Danno. It's late and I'm tired.

No need for apologies, just trying to clarify things. I like both the ZX and the 'Busa, but I saw a green ZX14 at the local Kawasaki dealer yesterday, and that is one SWEET looking bike! The fit and finish was outstanding! I generally don't care for sportbikes, but this bike was stunning.I nearly soiled myself from merely viewing it,and I am sure a test ride would facilitate my need for a change of undergarments.

My only problem with the ZX14 is that I am kinda short and the ergonomics don't fit me all that well. The Hayabusa, on the other hand, seems to feel much better. Bummer though, since I like Kaw much better than Suzuki.
y goal is to get another Kaw 800 Drifter. Had to sell mine to pay mortgage about a year ago, and I've been missing it ever since.
