She's comin' along. Looks good. What were you thinking for a front fender? You could paint the fenders or put a shortened one on.

You know the stock one is sort of a fork brace. Stiffens the forks up a bit.

Speaking from personal (frustrating) experience, I'd check the flasher unit and connections, up under the tank.......after yelling and throwing things, I sort of got it figured out, with the help of some of the guys here....

For the turn signals, try what Barb said, but also check the bulbs. You need the 1156 bulbs and make sure there is no corrosion or rust etc. in the bulb sockets. Last but not least, the switch itself may be all gummed up, may need to be taken apart and cleaned up.

When you get your signals working, let me know what you find! I'll likely be looking down the barrel of that one shortly.

all wiring sorted out- lots of loose grounds- flasher connectors not making good contact. look at a wiring schematic

Don't paint the front fender, I bought an extra one on ebay for mine, painted it, and wrecked it that night. Chrome is best and far less dangerous.

paint will do that if it doesn't have time to set up right, I recomend at least 48 hours before runnning it

gasoline tastes terrible with beer or paint in it, hope you didn't ruin the octane rating, the beer can take care of its self.... (if it's good beer)

that's why beer is almost perfect, it's already yellow, and foamy all we have to do is change its temperature, also helps the economy, I want those guys working 3 shifts to keep up the supply

My neighbor put some fresh paint on the tank (bayonette style gas cap and bung welded in) and tins. i installed 36vm's green monster coil and pamco ignition. in love with the bike now. this winter i plan on tearing it down and cleaning up a lot of things. still need a front fender- thinking about an rd fender- just need to know what will bolt up! also thinking about what it would look like with clubman's on it. i have a set layin around.
from what i understand- this model year has one fuse- 20A on the power wire off battery. correct?
anyone know what i can do with the wheels- like could i lace the wheels with stainless spokes? i could always powdercoat them black or something. i have a seat cover on the way for it as well.
please chime in with what you think about it so far!

paint is a purple metalflake-basecoat with a silver stripe with yamaha outline. pearl on top with ghost flames down top right side of tank.
