Ordered a springer front end on eBay for cheap, it arrived today and when i opened the box I found a billet inverted harley front end. NO Bueno
I took pictures of it still in the box and unwrapped and sent it to the company along with an explanation of what happened. Guess I'll find out how well they deal with their mistake tomorrow.

Oh, by the way..one part that I ordered without any problems was a starter block off kit from Mikes XS. Pretty slick little part and that guy got it here fast! I'd recommend it to anyone thinking about doing away with electric start.

that sucks, I hate that about ebay, it's always a 50/50 chance. Mikes on the other hand is always great with fast shipping and getting the exact parts you order.

so far they dont seem to have much time for me, and they're more concerned about getting their part back than getting the right one to me! their feedback on ebay is pretty good so im still hoping they'll make it right. this is just frustrating.

they sent me a thing to print off to send the wrong fork back through ups, and they're gonna send the right one. still kind of a pain in the ass. they should throw in something extra for all the trouble! i was gonna get started on making my frame this weekend too.
oh well.

I guess at least they're not making you pay for the shipping back to them.

The Harley part is probably worth more.

I ran into a similar problem on EBAY by ordering a stainless steel header for my Mazda MX6. I got it OK and everything should fit only problem is they are illegal here in Canada. By putting it on you have to remove the first of a dual catalytic converter system. No one will install it for me. I have a clean air test on the car in June and I'll put it on myself but I'll have to pull it off when it gets tested again in two years. Pain in the ass.

The supplier probably knew this or he should have known.

Did you know: Once a bike has been modified: chopper bobber, tracker etc. you cannot plate the bike in Canada unless it was done here and certified here. That means that Orange County and West Coast can't sell bikes up here., not dierctly at least. Anyone in Canada thinking about buying a modified bike from the US better have a garage and mechanic in his back pocket.

There is however a vintage plating procedure but I doubt it covers choppers.
