Whats going on guys. My name is john. New to the site. Just picked up a 79 xs for my girlfriend. I've got my own little sportster project going on, but looking forward to a build up of this XS. Just installed a pamco ignition...man what a difference!!

Since its starting to get nice out, i dont want to tear to deep into this bike, id like to just do a quick budget little cafe build. Myabe next year cut it up and bobber it.

Anyway, just saying hi!

Welcome to the site, I,too, live in Ct.Shoreline, Waterford.Check out the site, all the answer's are here. Wish I found this site BEFORE I did my work,as I had major charging system problem's. Got 'em worked out after I bought 3 rotor's, burned 'em up. Was a bad ground.The carb. info in the vault is superb.I try to stay away from the political crap here, as everyone has all the answer's to our economic problem's.Nuff outta me, good luck with the '79.
