What are you trying to achieve fella? Is your clutch not returning?
Theres a small spring on the clutch actuator behind the left side cover. Or the clutch springs on the clutch itself behind the right side cover.

If you need to remove the left cover, no drama. The right cover, you'll need to drain the oil first!

sounds like you may have lost indexing of the shifter shaft, there is a shim washer and a circlip on the shifter shaft (left side) where it goes into the case, if it is loose or gone the shifter shaft can slide in and lose it's index on the shifter cam, having that side case off you may have pushed the shaft in putting the shift lever back on

Its the spring, its mush - literally...

Its called a Clutch return spring I believe. Its part of the clutch mech. that is connected to the left side cover where the clutch cable connects to. When I pull on the clutch it does not return, I opened the side case and noticed the spring is super soft.

Sooo, does anyone know where I may find one or am I looking for the the right part but using the wrong name?

Check the cable.Probably could use a good cleaning then lube. Take it off the bike & move it inside the outer part, should move freely without binding. If it does this , then clean all the gunk out the adjuster on the right cover. Use your manual for the proper way to remove & reassemble the adjuster. And how to do the proper adjustment for that lever. All that spring does is take up the slack for the adjustment so the cable don't fall off the end of the lever.

I still say the clutch doesn't have a damn thing to do with it being locked in third gear, but yes if the clutch cable is dry and not sliding or the clutch adjuster worm is full of junk it could hold that spring

Jayel-

I think you might be having a bit of a seniors moment!
seacake13 is posting about being stuck in 3rd gear.
Whitehurst started this thread!

Whitehurst-

The little spring on the clutch actuator is not a return spring as such, as Gordo says, it only pre loads the cable to stop it falling out!
Thorough clean & lube of all the bits, or get a new clutch cable is the place to start!

If that doesn't fix it, let us know and we can send you in a little deeper!
Cheers
