Can anyone give me a good place to get information on riding glasses/ goggles? Any advice anyone could give would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to make the right choice the first time. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.

Thanks.

Wild guess would be an eye doctor or bike shop. Actually, what sort of helmet do you wear? For example, I have a "trooper", the closest I can legally come to a "puddin' basin", and I have good British goggles that go right over my glasses and do a good job.

Totally unsuitable for a full-face helmet, though, so it does make a difference.

So when I ride, I have my glasses, my goggles and my windshield---three layers between my baby blues and evil kamakazi bees and bugs.

Sight---"it's a good thing!"

I've got the Bell goggles, fit right over glasses, have to set the glasses in the goggles first and then put them on me face for proper trifocal alignment.
Also 'picked up' a pair of sunglasses that fit right over the glasses, not sure what brand they are as I found them on the street, Ha!
Now, if I can 'find me' an old biker jacket.

Ive purchased a German Style helmet and would like to go with a more traditional styled sunglasses. Ive noticed they have some that have lenses that pop out for day/night riding. There are some with foam around the rims, some are just "aero dynamic" so the wind moves around them. I do wear prescription lenses. Im just trying to find a good quality brand to purchase.

Solar Shield are the ones I found. They've got wind protection in the framing. The Bell goggles have the foam.
Pop out for day or night sounds good. Might just be the best of both worlds as long as the styling ain't Frankish, Ha!

Because I tend to break or lose them frequently I use the lower price end safty glasses in smoke/dark lens when wearing a 3/4 or full face.
For the 1/2 shell cop top I wear an old (30+yr) pair of goggles.

I USUALLY go into the sporting goods department and buy some decent looking polarized fishing glasses. Amazing how much cheaper they are by the hooks and catfish bait instead of over in the fashion department! Currently I wear a white full face flip-up. Sometimes I get by just fine with the tinted safeties too. The price is right.

I use prescription photo gray aviators. Expensive, but I only use them to ride and I don't have to carry two pair. If I did not have to use prescription glasses I would try Wiley-X riding goggles, auto darkening on sale at Sportsman's Guide for $24.95 DX9X1-156327.
Of course you never know about their stuff until you get it.

There is a wholesail stoer here that sell's Foster Grant's for $2 a pair.As I have frequently 'lost' them(or broke them), this work's good for me.
