Clean and simple. I saw one similar on the BratBike website and they even had the breather plumbed into it and out the backside. I'm going to use a Sportster battery tray and fab up an electrical box to mimick what would be the oil tank on the Sportster. Will send pics in a couple weeks. Taking a week's vacation to get XS up and on the road.

hi ghostyder just took a look at the battery box the one i have has got a tool pocket on it if this where to be cut out then the battery holder would fit in the skin no problem just bolt it on the base plate i am putting the rectifier under the box where i welded a 1 inch bit of metal across the lower frame and will bolt it onto that then if i need to remove it there are 3 s/steel wing nuts underside will send you a pic if this sounds a bit mixed but it working for me i think lol stomp

Thanks Very Happy Mine is still in mock up as well. I've changed a few things since that picture. One of the biggest was the headlight (advice from calicruiser). It's now mounted with low profile ears and a 5" bates style light. New bars on the way as well. Still a never ending project that I never get time to work on, lol.

Well, I'm not ready nor have the cash for a fancy paint job, so for rightnow I was thinking either flat black or a dark primer gray. That's just so I can ride it, but also gives it a rat look. We will see.

i can relate to the never getting to work on it comment! I get to mess with mine a couple hours a week if I am lucky. sooner or later it will be rideable though!!! and that is all the counts in the end. keep moving forward man!! sweet scoot ya got goin on there.
