I wanted to upgrade my original fuseholder with an ATC fuseholder and found one with a removeable plastic dome. It has four spots for fuses but the spade connectors are on the outside and aren't sealed where they enter the case. I guess I'll use dielectric grease on those, but should I use the plastic dome or will it tend to retain condensation? does anyone have experience with this type of unit? I am trying to include a photo but we'll see if get it right or not. Thanks....Angus

Good question, we have some similar units at work and yeah, they trap condensation & then dust/mud. We usualy end up ditching them. Could maybe try a silica-gel pack in there?
To load pics, hit browse-select pic-hit submit, don't touch the add attachment button, and don't, whatever you do, no matter what happens, touch the red button!

That's what I thought. But only after buying two of them, one for my XS650 and one for my GS1000. Instead of paying a re-stocking fee to return them, maybe I'll try to seal the cases with Hi-Temp silicone. As with Australia, one thing we have lots of in Saskatchewan is dust.

I'd not seal it up, that would be worse I think. Just run them as they are & if it becomes a problem, ditch the lids. Or maybe drill some holes in the lids???

Here's several choices from Centech.

I've installed a couple of the AP 1 and like them a lot. Fit nicely right behind the battery where the reserve lighting units used to before elimination.
