This is the bike I bought last week. It has 18239 miles on it. It has been left out side for some time. The owner couldn't get it to start :roll:,. The gas turned into varnish. He kept asking me what I thought was wrong with it. I basically told him everything and I mean everything!!
When I got it home I used Simple Green and a power washer to clean it up. Soaked the Carbs in Carb cleaner overnight and used 120 psi to blow through all maps. Recharged the battery. All the electric works fine. 3 kicks
and it fired right up. Runs Strong!! Now just to replace everything and make me a bobber.

Nice work. That is about how mine went. Bike was not running when I got, it had been sitting for years. The tank was rusty & missing pet cocks. I rebuilt the carbs and it started right up and has been running strong ever since.
