Just bought a very poor example of a 1977 XS650 last week. I really didn't want anything in great condition, because I intend to chop it up and make it a Bobber.
I just got it running this morning, engine runs real strong as far as I can tell. Good compression and no strange engine noises. I will post pics soon.
Hope i can help others and get some help from others here as well.

Welcome! You got a fine example of an XS in that 1977----of course, I'm prejudiced.....8^)

Any stock parts you don't need for a bobber, just post---one of us will grab them!
