Are your oils 1/4 inch, I am working out the same type of oil system. I plan on using 3/8 lines. Will flow more oil than 1/4 inch will. On these bikes flow rate is more important than pressure.

yea the oil lines i got now are 1/4 buit ive already pulled it all off. i'm going to a bigger braided line . the collars and fittings are 1/4 . the remote filter holder i made . it's just a peice of flat stainless that i drilled out a 3/4-16 bolt welded it in the center and welded two stainless collar on top. it looks and fits perfect there i also figured it would help cool the oil off some too . any body that is curious about the filter holder i got the idea from a back issue of the horse mag.

I got the filter mount from Perma cool. $11 or $12. Cast aluminum.
I just drilled out the case where the oil pump delivers the oil to the filter, tapped them to 1/4 pipe thread. built some plugs to plug off the extra holes.
I just tapped into the filter cover for the return. That way I can still use the stock filter. Just in case the external filter bypasses the filter.
I think adding the external filter will help cool the engine. Having the extra oil capacity will help cooling as well as having more oil to keep things cool.
I thought I would hook in A temp gauge into the return line. I thought I would hook it in and run the engine with the oil just going out and back into the engine to get a base line on temp.
I would then hook in the oil filter and run it to see how much effect the filter has on temp. If I thought it needed it I could add a cooler after the filter.
