i've been meaning to ask this before. my 75 is pretty much bone stock and runs great. it has new coils, condensors, and plugs the points are clean and gapped properly, timing is dialed in, and the plug wires are newish but the previous owner put them on so i don't know how long ago that was. after checking the plugs it looks like the mixture is good.

the problem is, it runs fine but once it warms up to a certain point, it seems to hiccup. it doesn't stall but it seems like it misfires and that's only while idling. it will happen once and then be fine and then i'll notice it happen again while i'm at a light. then when i've ridden several miles, it just seems to go away altogether. one time it actually did stall out but i figured i hadn't warmed it up enough yet.

can anyone offer some advice? thanks in advance.

These bikes don't run very well if the voltage is low. Do you have 13 volts or better at idle, and does it go up to 14 volts or better at 2500 RPM?
