OK.......I must be an idiot. My 1979 (2F) xs650 Special has no fuses. I'm assuming that someone befoe me must have removed either the fuse box or all in-line fuses. Can someone tell me???

Is it enough for me to place a single in-line fuse in the hot (red) main wire which goes to the retifier?

did you look under the right side cover? I have my single fuse hidden there.

Yea:

I removed the harness and am going to place a couple of in-line fuses in strategic places. Somebody had really screwed up the harness.
