I want to replace the old broken dual cable throttle on my '72 XS2 with a single cable system. I will need to tie/connect the 2 carbs together. Does anyone have suggestions or pic's if they have done this? i.e. fabricated parts?

have a look at Moto Guzzi small blocks, like V35 or V50 or V75 - they have a 2-in-1-throttle cable
look at this www.sd-tec.de/catalog/...ts_id/1916
click that pic to see details
also here www.gawa-guzzi.de/amat...ilergr.jpg
There are two versions - plastic and aluminium, both will do.
I have it on my XS, but I have Dellorto carbs, so that Guzzi parts including the cables fit perfectly well. If you want to stay with your Mikunis, I think you need to make new throttle cables. But this won´t be a problem, as you can make them easily with this
www.stoffkabel.de/shop...aubnippel/
I don´t know the english term for those, the german name is NIPPEL, but I guess in english it´s got a different meaning ....
Anyway, other than e. g. clutch cable for the gas throttle you can use those bolt-on "nippels" - forces are not that much.

you could use a carb and holders from a 76 or later model. they only use one cable.

Romer, in case you have difficulties in getting the Guzzi parts over there in your area - I could send them. I would put it into an envelope, I guess it would take max. two weeks by airmail.
Unfortunately, at this moment I am in Taiwan until Feb 11, so I could dispatch mid of February earliest.
Say so in case you are interested .....

Thanks for the offer sesamharold, but it sounds like a lot of trouble for both of us. I am sure I can get something around here. You did set me on the right path.
xsjohn, are those numbers ebay numbers?
