Hello, I am hearing alot about alt brushes, and was wondering where is the best place to get new ones? Mikesxs, 650Centeral or?
y old ones are still ok I just want to plan ahead.

Mikes is out of stock no, ETA. 3M might have some.
Both good places to get them. When you can.
You might try swapping them. To increase their life. the outside wears out faster.

I think I read somewhere here that someone went to a hardware store and got a set off the shelf that were basicly the same?????

If they know of a source I hope they speak up again. The tabs could always be resoldered if the brush was the same.

sears hardware has brushes. they are just the brush,no mount tabs. you would have to solder onto your mount tabs. might have to sand down sides to fit into the holder. as i remember ,less than $5.00. a pair

not yet, but i have looked at them there. others have done this with good results. mine are working right now, well they were when i tore the engine down to rebuild it. the next time i'm at sears i'll buy a set and see what it takes.

I got brushes at ace, sanded them down to fit, and soldered them to the metal brackets. Seems to be working fine so far.

Hmmm... I'm supposed to have a set of Mike's brushes on the way as I write this... didn't see a word about out of stock or back order.
