I am rejetting today for pod filters and I'm trying to lower the needle (raise the C clip) because I'm getting a stumble at high rpm...

How do I get to the C clip to adjust it?
I know this is a stupid question but I can't figure it out.
The carbs in my clymer manual don't really look like the ones on my bike.
I'm sitting here at my computer with the diaphragm assembly from one of the carbs and I can't figure out how to get to the needle and clip....

I'm sorry for my stupidness, but I don't want to break anything trying to get to it so I thougt I should ask..
Thanks

Do you carbs have adjustable needles? If so take the tops off in the bottom of the slide there is a snap ring remove that and the needles come out from the top. Be careful to pay attention to how it all comes apart, washer placement etc.

It's an internal snap ring so snap ring pliers work best. In fact, the long nose angled set MikesXS sells for doing master cylinders works very well. You may be able to use some needle nose pliers if they're long and pointy enough.

Ok thank you very much for the help 5twins, I had never dealt with a snap ring before but adjusting the needle is easy enough now
