I am starting my first bobber project and need some advice. I am keeping stock frame but I want that fat & low back tire look. I think I can use my front wheel set up as is. What size and type rear wheel do I need.

Sorry but you're going to find yourself very restricted within the stock swingarm and chain clearance unless you're going to go hardtail, jackshaft
etc. To start with any of the gurus are going to ask you for the details of your bike. (year, model, swingarm or hardtail chopper, wheel sizes etc.) Also suggest that you go through the archives (old posts) as there have been quite a few discussion on this. BOL and welcome to the forum. Blue

you will need to cut away part of the chain guard with any thing wider than stock. if you put on a 16 inch wheel you can run a 130 or 140 tire, depending on tire brand. any wider and you will have clearance problems. with swing arm and chain.

I'm looking at a 16" wheel on Mike's. I think that seems to the best way to go. I think the front wheel will be ok as is. What do you think?....by the way...How do I get my #12 shoes under that dinky shifter?!?..haha. I am use to my Boulevard.

That's funny.....on my 80 I can run a 140 even with the wider 530 o-ring chain with some clearance...not much though....must be some differences in these......but you wouldn't think so........

to check alignment measure from the center of the swingarm bolt to the center of the axle, those marks on the swingarms are iffy at best
