Wow..a big thanks to you man!! I sought out 650 garage and printed out the carbguide in pdf format, the most complete carb guide I've encountered. I'm looking forward to rebuilding my bs38's this week using all the collective knowledge in this manual, thanks again, Mark from Montreal

One point I don't think we touched upon is the need to check your float levels from both sides. I set my floats using a 6" steel rule graduated in MM on one side. I place it on the far side and sight over the top of BOTH float halves. I then place the rule on the other side and check them that way as well. This shows you if the float assembly is twisted at all, i.e. one float higher than the other. Many times they are and need to tweaked (twisted) so both sides read the same. If you check just one side when setting yours, they may be off in this manner.
