I'd be interested in that.. my bike came with highway pegs on it, but they are so short that they arent worth using.. eventually I'd like to get forward controls, but my budget tells me that can wait for now. But those bars look like they'd give me more room.

I had some that were like that. I had to bend them to make them work. Unfortunately one of them cracked and eventually became too weak to use. I think it will depend on your header pipes, though. The later models curve out more, while the earlier models ran closer to the frame down-tubes.

I almost bought a set of the vintage chrome twisted railroad tie ones to use, but I eventually found a set on ebay that mounted on somewhat triangular plates. I replaced the motor mount bolts with threaded rod to make up for the extra 1/2 inch or so that I needed to cover.

I'll try to snap a pic of my setup later today. The RR tie ones look like this: www.crc2onlinecatalog....Pegs01.JPG

you can see the way the brackets are bent in the pic. That's what I had to do to make the original ones I used work around my exhaust pipes.

Those C channels are just cut off pieces from a longer length. Most metal fab shops should be able to hook you up. Complete with the holes drilled. Probably cost 20-30 $ though.
