Hi there, I'm new to both motorcycling and xs650s. Just purchased my first bike, an 83. It's in pretty good shape, bought it for 1500 and it only needed new rubber and a new battery. I will post pics when I get home.
I got the bike because it was cheap, but after reading all the mods that seem to be available, I think I scored a pretty good deal!! I'm sure as I gain more experience I will want to start making changes to make the bike my own.
Any other canadians on here? I'm in Oshawa.

verno; Good to have you join the group. That looks like a great bike. There's a good number of Canadians on the site. I'm in Calgary, but I used to live in Whitby for 15 years.

Nice bike but it doesn't look like an '83 unless Canada had different options or the PO already made some changes..Mag wheels, no oil sight glass on the sidecover. Maybe a '79?? No expert here, mind you. Nice bike though, and welcome aboard.
