Thanks to the 650 rider community for all the help!!!

Ok so i love my xs but i really want to run a 21 on the front, i have 6 over tubes already and don't care if i have front brakes. I am watching a pre 2000 harley rim and tire on e bay and it says it is made for a 5/8 axle my question is can that work on the xs 17mm axle? i know there will be some play. Or does some one have a cheap and better way to do it? and i already tried to get my original hub re-laced, didnt work out. Thanks again for any help, i wil try to get some pics up soon, i have a sportster seat and a 16in back spoke off a 80 xs.

Lace a dirtbike wheel to a stock xs hub. Go to buchanons for oversized spokes. Lace, true, ride.

Remember the XS axle is diff on each end.....I used the axle that went with the wheel I bought and just machined a sleeve for each fork leg. I didn't want the xs hub, I wanted the drum brake the new wheel had
