I've bought quite a bit of stuff from Pro-Flo over the years, from suspension stuff to ignition goodies. Good folks, in my experience.

Be aware that there are two Boyer ignitions sold for the XS650. The one Pro-Flo has is the older Micro Digital system, which has a 4-stage digital advance and requires a 4 to 5 Ohm coil to work properly; I use a 5 Ohm Dyna coil (from Pro-Flo). I've had one of these ignitions in service for over 12 years. In my experience it's the more reliable of the two systems.

The more expensive Boyer ignition is the newer Micro Power design, which has a continuous-curve electronic advance and uses a proprietary 0.6 Ohm coil. I tried one a few years back, just for yucks. It malfunctioned from the git-go, but by the time I'd installed the thing and traced the trouble, the lavish Boyer 30-days-from-purchase warrantee had expired. Reinstalling the older unit resolved the issues.

I just ordered a boyer kit from Mikes xs, should be here anytime. For $260 you get everything you need. But i don`t need problems, i was hoping to prevent them.
