I am happy because I just bought a XS750 triple with 6000 miles that looks like it is off the showroom floor. Runs great and fills my need for an interstate capable bike to carry my butt to work.

I'm sad because the XS650 has to go. There are photos in my gallery but a bit of info.

1979 XS650F. This is the last year for the standard model in the US. Has many new OEM parts such as headlight ears, front fender, seat cover. Twin front disc brake setup, redwing shocks in rear. New headpipes and front brake pads. Upgrade to solid state regulator and upgraded diode pack.

Have all the original pieces which go with the bike. I'm looking for offers over $1500 or buy it for $1750. I will be willing to ride it around 150 miles from Newark Delaware. PM me if you are interested. This is a very solid and well maintained bike.

Best of luck with the new bike. Your comments will be missed. Maybe you can still make cameo appearances on the site.

What RG said. Don't be a stranger. You probably already know about this site -- it's a good one for XS triple owners:

To all my friends on the XS site. I will just be changing my status to lurker. You can't get rid of me that easy. Besides I need to slap the DFphoto guy around a bit more before they put me in the grave.

Ride safe and keep em running.

Bill

Yes, don't be a stranger. A local guy had a nice triple for sale on ebay. Pretty slick looking from the pictures. Found it.
