Well, I was polishing the corrosion pits out of my 78's rear wheel rim, when I noticed a crack next to (but not through) one of the nipple holes. Uh-oh. So I examined the others carefully and found six more. The rim's not beat up or warped at all, but I'm thinking that, because of the cracks, it's toast.

Next to the valve stem hole, it reads TAKASAGO JAPAN on one side and 2.15x18 on the other. The rim is off a '78 E standard, but from what I understand, all XS650 standards from '74 to '79 used this same rear rim.

All I need is a rim. I don't need the hub. Obviously, I can't use one with cracks, and I would prefer one on which corrosion pitting isn't too severe.
