Howdy all.

I've been lurking on the board for about 2 years, and made a few posts last summer while finishing up a chop project. Hardtails sure look great, but man are they tough on the back! Even at low psi I just couldn't deal. So I decided to sell it. Some punk kid bought it as his first bike. Anyhow, a few bikes later, I am now back into the XS world. I have ridden a lot of motorcycles, and the XS is bar none the best little bike out there.

I just snapped up a '79 basketcase for $80. Used motor with good comp, for $150. So far, still in pieces, but today is assembly day. I look forward to all your input, critisism, and for putting up with my s***. For now the plan is bone stocker, until I can afford to do some mods.

Anyone else on here from Seattle? We should start and XS ride.

Cheers,

Scott

Welcome, Ive seen that bike on youtube first and now on ebay. Really nice bike. Good luck with your project. I have a 72 basketcase that I never got around to finishing myself. I bought a 79 recently.

Killtrip,

I just might do that. My bike is about a weeks worth of work away from being mechanical, and then I've got a title to hunt down. Maybe a Fall ride?

I'd be up for it. Not sure if my bike will be street legal by then. Going through some titling issues at the moment, heh.
