I just did it. Its a snap.
I put the header in the bench vise by its bottom mounting tab. The wrap tells you to dampen before application. I used a spray bottle. I sprayed the section after one wrap around. I used my hand to smooth the wraps and keep them even without any kinks. You might want a small section of wrap cut free to put near the bottom header mounting tab so you can get the pipe completely covered, otherwise there's a gap. Just wrap over the small patch, I figured a little bulge was better than a bare spot. I didn't cut the wrap from the roll till I was done. Make sure to leave enough space at the exhaust flange so that you can bolt it up to the head without gooning up your careful wrapping work
I started at one end, then clamped it down with a radiator hose clamp before I got too far. This allows you to smooth it and pull the wrap tight to conform to the curves in the pipe. You'll have to leave a little overlap and adjust that overlap when going around the curve. If it doesn't look right back off and start again, the adhesive in the wrap takes forever to cure.
I'd advise wearing some nylon or nitrile gloves; the fiberglass wrap is nasty and itchy.
When it heats up when you start the bike it will smoke like a chimney until the adhesive cures. Good Luck!
