Would a set of stock (factory) header pipes/mufflers from a 1977 XS650 Special fit a 1978 XS650 SE.... Question

Please let me know as one of the members here has one available for my 78 if they are compatible...

Yes. The headers and mufflers from the Special will fit on the Standard. The only thing you might have to do is modify the muffler mount a tad, but shouldn't be hard if it is needed.
