Running way lean. My smogged 79 had pure white plugs. I raised my needles 2 notches and it became another bike. Much better. In conversations with XSJohn I will drop the needle to the middle position and up my mains 1 size. Theory is I will get the richer running motor and also a bit of gas mileage by doing so.
The black water is just condensation which is normal. When the bike heats up it will clear out. There is a small drain hole in the factory pipe to drain this condensation so you don't rot out the pipes.
