A little help please.

I have a 77 XS650-D and there is a piece missing, I think.

Did the 77 have a bezel/cover over the front of the bottom of the tripple tree. It is where the front brake line swivels and mounts.

ine is uncovered between the forks and allows this to be visible. I've had this bike since 81 and it has always bothered me. Doesn't look right.

I saw some specials with a crome cover that said "YAMAHA" on them and wanted to know if that is stock or after-market and where I might find one.

Thanks,
Slimbob

They were stock items on the specials. Check with e-bay sellers. Or wait for one to come up on an auction. I (personal preference) wouldn't want one for the 79F. But leave them on the '83 HS.

thanks for the reply.
I just think it looks bare/unfinished without something there. Was wandering if it should be covered or not from the factory.
