Hi all, I'm building a XS650 bobber and have a Sportster tank to fit. My options are:

A) Use the Harley petcock and put a T in the fuel line to feed both carbs.

B) Install the two petcocks from the old XS tank into the Sportster tank.

Clearly A is the easier option, but the XS petcocks have a vacuum position. How important is this and will I have problems if I use the standard Harley petcock?

Use the Harley petcock with a "T" and put rubber caps on the vaccum barbs in the intake manifolds.
