I have been whittleing on some scrap aluminum in an attempt to create my own rearsets. I was intending on using the existing studs so installation would be simple. The problem I ran into was determining wether or not to build them so the pegs could fold up. Maybe only the right one to allow kickstarting. I'll post some pictures tomorrow to help visualize my idea. I found building direction by googleing rearsets.

I saw a fairly easy method of creating rear sets using XJ pegs, shifter, and a kicker from a triple on 650central. Check "Poor Man's Cafe Racer" heading under Farrell's Shade Tree Corner.

You will have to fabricate some mounting plates but I believe this is the way to go (it is what I'm doing)......Try some Universal Folding Rearsets -T arozzi - NEW from user name jimhinshaw on ebay. Use the stock mounting points to attach a spaced out mounting plates and viola'....rearsets set to your desired setback.

I would post pics but I have yet to get a second set (my father took the first to use as forward controls on a xs650 chop) and fab mounting plates. Anyway.....its an idea.
