I bought a set BS34's off ebay. Supposed to be off a running bike. He forgot to mention, and I forgot to ask "do the slides move freely". I'd send the darn things back, but I have a good gut feeling about them. What is the best way to free them up without ruining the slides or carb body. Greg

I would use a mild penetrant like WD40 or CRC5-56. Remember, the rubber diaphragms are in there and something really strong like carb cleaner can damage them.

Sounds like an honest mistake to me, Greg; the seller probably rode that "running bike" so gently he never noticed the slides weren't lifting, right? Hope you give that upstanding citizen a real fine rating.
